I know if you just looked at the ingredients for this amazingly easy vegan bean dip you might think it’s a little strange. That’s ok, so did I when I first had it! This is sure to please vegans and non-vegans alike!
With only three ingredients this will be your next game-day classic. Oh and did I mention how easy it was to prepare, it takes less than 10 minutes!
I was first introduced to this dip before I went vegan and it has always been one of my favorites so when I went vegan I knew I had to make a plant-based version.
With vegan alternatives becoming more accessible, veganizing this dish was so easy, and since the vegan cream cheese and cheddar cheese alternatives have come a long way in flavor and texture I was able to keep the flavor profile of the original dip I was used to but without the use of animal products.
This bean dip has just the right amount of sweetness from the baked beans combined with the right amount of tang from the vegan cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese.
You can truly use any chip you want with this dish but I have always used tortilla chips adding just the right amount of salt.
When mashing your baked beans you can just use a fork or if you have a potato masher that will also work great. You don’t want to mash all of the beans, you want to make sure to leave some beans whole.
This will probably be one of the easiest and quickest dips you can prepare making it a go-to dish for last-minute parties. Once you layer the three ingredients into a casserole dish just pop it in the oven until the vegan cheddar shreds are melted and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips!

Easy Vegan Bean Dip
Equipment
- 8 x 8 casserole dish
Ingredients
- 8 oz Vegan Cream Cheese
- 21 oz Can Vegan Baked Beans
- 8 oz Vegan Cheddar Cheese Shreds
- 1 Bag Tortilla Chips (I use Tostitos)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425℉
- Pour the beans into a bowl or shallow dish and using a potato masher or fork, mash the beans until there are few whole beans left. Set aside.
- Spread the cream cheese evenly into the bottom of a casserole dish.
- Pour mashed beans evenly over the cream cheese.
- Top the beans with vegan cheddar shreds.
- Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until vegan cheddar shreds are melted.
